The “Z” Sports Club announced its acquisition of a club in the Egyptian Premier League during a press conference.
The press conference was attended by Onsi Sawiris, President of ZED Sports Investment Company, Ahmed Diab, Managing Director, as well as members of the company’s technical council Saif Zahir, Hazem Imam, Ahmed Hassan, Ahmed Hussam Mido, Imad Mutaib, and Mohamed Zaidan. As well as Ihab Lahita, director of the sports sector in the company, Alaa Nabil, head of the youth sector and Baraem, and Hisham Hanafi, vice president of the youth sector and Baraem.
“Our goal is not just the football team, but we are interested in 9 other sports,” Onsi Sawiris revealed during the press conference.
He explained, “We aspire to discover 20 Mohamed Salah in various sports fields in order to honor Egypt in front of the world.”
Sawiris added, “Our vision depends on creating a new generation of athletes who are able to compete in world championships.”
He concluded his remarks, “Our strategy is to provide potentials for young people, because Egypt has many young talents and only lacks the means.”
Former captain of the Egyptian national team, Ahmed Hassan, said: “The Z club works according to a specific system and this is what will help it succeed.”
“The aim is to have, within three years, the first team consisting of elements born in 2000 and 2001,” he said.
The “Z” project is presented in New Cairo and includes an integrated gym.
