The Wydad team, Al-Ahly’s competitor in the African Champions League, is playing its decisive match against its host Al-Fateh Rabat in the final round of the Moroccan League, being deprived of the services of some players for various reasons.
Sunday’s match Al-Fateh Rabati is the last test for Wydad before facing Al-Ahly in the first leg of the CAF Champions League semi-finals next Saturday in Morocco.
The Moroccan Le360 Sport website stated that Wydad will face Al-Fateh without the Ivorian Sheikh Brahima Kumara, Ayoub Al-Amloud and Sofiane Kerkache because of the injury.
Ashraf Dary will be absent because his name was dropped from the team list during the second half of the season.
Haitham Al Bahjah and Mohamed Al-Seedani will be absent for technical reasons, while Kazadi Kasengo will be absent for his commitment to the two friendly matches of the Democratic Republic of the Congo during the international suspension.
Wydad’s victory and rivals Raja – Zamalek’s rival in the African Champions League – stumbled against the Royal Army, which would grant Wydad the league title.
Raja has 57 points, compared to 56 for Wadad and 54 for Nahdet Berkane.
This means that Raja’s victory in the last round against the Royal Army will give him the Moroccan League title, regardless of the results of his rivals.
