Wael Jumaa, the former Al-Ahly captain, denied receiving an offer from the Red Castle to occupy the position of football manager next season.
And press reports had stated that Al-Ahly offered Jumaa the position of football manager to succeed Sayed Abdel Hafeez.
Jumah said toFilGoal.com: “It did not happen that Al-Ahly negotiated with me in this regard.”
He added, “I wish Al-Ahly luck and success always and forever.”
Wael Jumaa assumed the position of football manager at Al-Ahly during the term of Spanish coach Juan Carlos Garrido.
Sayed Abdel Hafeez has held the position of football director at Al-Ahly since 2018, after Mohamed Youssef was performing the duties of football manager in the Patrice Carteron apparatus.
