Argentina – Colombia – South American Cup 2020 U-23
The Argentine team has booked a card to qualify for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics after repeating the hosts Colombia 2-1 in the second round of the final stage.
The last round became decisive for the second card between Uruguay, Colombia and Brazil to qualify for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and the runners-up to the Argentina team, who secured the lead.
The Argentine team won the title for the fifth time in its history and the second to be held in Colombia after winning the 1980 version.
This is the eighth time that Tango qualified for the Olympics, as it previously achieved the gold medal in the 2004 Athens and Beijing 2008 Olympics.
The final stage of the tournament includes the four teams and will be held in the same group system, and the arrangement after the end of the second round has become as follows:

(4) Colombia – 1 point
Argentina repeated their victory with the same result of the initial stage with a score of 1-2, but that time the game scenario changed from the previous one.
In the first stage match, Los Cafeteros advanced, then the Tango turned the table, kidnapped the win and 3 points, and ended the match with 10 players in the last minutes.
As for the final stage, the Argentine team advanced and managed to maintain its progress despite running for the last 21 minutes with 10 players.
Agustin Orzi and Nihan Perez scored two goals in the 50th and 53rd minute of the match, which they scored for Argentina, the first came with a shot from outside the penalty area and the second headed with a header after carrying a corner kick.
Edwin Citry trimmed the score from the penalty spot for Colombia in the 67th minute, and just two minutes later Uruzi was sent off and his teammates completed the match with 10 players until the end.
At the time of the killer, the owners of the land almost snatched the tie, but Citri’s header went through the width instead of settling in the window, despite the lack of supervision.
A win led Argentina to the top and raised their score to 6 points and secured the title and qualify for the Olympics before the last round.
Before that, the Brazilian national team tied with its Uruguayan counterpart 1-1 in the match of the goalkeepers’ fatal mistakes, but their hopes remain in hijacking the second qualification card.
The goals of the meeting came in the first half, Manuel Orjiti scored the first goal for Uruguay in the 35th minute with a shot that covered the goalkeeper if he failed to tackle an easy shot.

The last round will be held at the dawn of the tenth of next February, if Colombia meets Uruguay, and in return, the Latin club Clasico will be between Argentina and Brazil.
