Jamie Pacheco, Zamalek coach, expressed his opinion on a number of the team’s players, who coached him for the second period in his history.
Pacheco said on the Zamalek channel: “I do not know what happened with Shikabala throughout his history, I did not see him when he was 20 years old, perhaps if he was walking the same way that he is walking now in his time, he would be like Mohamed Salah. He has great talent and a wonderful advisor to his colleagues.”
“I was playing in the defensive midfield position, (adding jokingly) I was better than Tariq Hamed in terms of skill,” he added.
He stressed, “Tariq Hamed is the heart of Zamalek. He trains every training as if it were the last training in his life.”
He explained, “I am lucky to coach Al-Winch at this stage in his career in his performance. He can play in Europe in a big club. We missed him a lot against Al-Ahly.”
“Hazem Imam is an example of a respectable person, and he is a respectable player. But he is affected psychologically at some moments. A leader who always trains strongly and is an example for the players.”
He revealed, “Abdullah Jumaa, a modern left back, defends and attacks well, and carries out instructions perfectly.”
Ferjani Sassi added, “He is not very strong physically, but he passes in a wonderful way and is very intelligent and sees the game before the competitors.”
“Bencharqi is a distinguished player and has the same intelligence as Sassi, and he has distinctive headers. The goal he scored in Raja was a result of planning exercises we had before the match,” he stressed.
“Zizou played in Portugal. He defends and attacks in the same good way, and has the characteristics of playing in more than one position,” he explained.
He continued, “Obama knew him when I was in 2014, he needs to improve some things. His tactics have improved, and now he has become better positioned and he has to improve his effectiveness on goal.”
And he added, “Mustafa Mohamed? I do not remember that I trained a player with this strength in my life. He needs only more maturity and intelligence on the field and he may go to the world level. His header is very strong.”
He completed, “Imam Ashour? He is being suspended a lot, a player who is still young and must listen to advice. He must control himself more. He is a good player, physically strong and smart.”
