Walid Suleiman scored a double for Al-Ahly in Zimbabwe’s Platinum, to finish fourth on the scorers ‘scorers’ ranking for the Red Genie in Africa.
Al-Ahly faces Platinum at Al Salam Stadium in the third round of the Champions League groups.
Walid Suleiman opened the scoring for Al-Ahly in the 7th minute from a well-crafted header before he strengthened the red giant’s advance from the penalty spot in the 67th minute.
Walid Suleiman reached his 19th personal goal in the Al-Ahly shirt in the African Championships, to finish fourth behind Mahmoud Al-Khatib (37 goals), Mohammed Abu Trika (32 goals) and Imad Miteb (28 goals).
Walid Suleiman, Mohamed Barakat, Amadou Flayou, and the duo scored 18 goals with Al-Ahly.
