Mohamed Abu El-Ela, the general coach of Egypt Club, replied to FilGoal.com: “What is being promoted about the Football Association’s refusal to play the match with the new list is not correct.
He continued, “The second division will start next Wednesday and the Football Association considered our list in the Zamalek match, which is for the new season.”
He added, “What happened is certainly not an exception to us, but rather it is well known. In the Egypt Cup, you can play with the new list after the registration period has been extended.”
Abu Al-Ela stressed, “We are now on the way to Suez to spend the night there to meet Zamalek.”
The Football Association had already announced earlier that the local registration period would be extended to November 30 instead of the 19 of the same month, after postponing the African Champions League final to 27 of the same month as well.

Al-Attar answered decisively, “We previously announced the amendment of the registration dates, as the first list ends on November 30 and the second in December, so any team that has registered new players in its first list has the right to participate in the Egypt Cup matches.”
He stressed, “Masr Club has registered its first list with us naturally, because the second division will start on the 24th of this month, so it is natural that it will play the match tomorrow with its new players.”
And he completed, “The match will be played by Club Egypt against Zamalek in his old name, naturally, and we have not received a request so far to change his name.”
And Walid Al-Attar had revealed earlier in his speech on “Ontime Sports” that even if he asked to change his name, he would not be able to complete the procedures before meeting Zamalek.
And whether Masr Club intends to change its name before meeting Zamalek in the quarter-finals of the Egypt Cup, Al-Attar replied at that time, “He will not play the match in his current name.”
