Muhannad Lashin, a midfielder for Al-Jaish, announced that he had received a summons to join the Egyptian team in his camp in March.
Muhannad Lashin spoke on “Echo of the Country” channel, saying: “The first time I joined the Egyptian national team and I hope it is not the last. The football player always wishes to wear his country’s national team shirt, and the dream is now fulfilled.”
He added, “I received the news of my joining the Egyptian national team this morning, and the technical staff of the Army Corps suddenly congratulated me and told me that I will join the next Egyptian national team camp in March.”
And he continued, “When Hossam Al-Badri asked me to implicate Al-Ahly, I was playing well, and when I was in Pyramids he asked to stay with the team, and despite that I did not play much with the team, and this is confirmation of those who claimed that he was interfering in the formation choices when he was taking over the position of head of the football system in the club.
Regarding the competition in the Egyptian national team, Muhannad Lashin said: “All the midfielders in the Egyptian team are wonderful and I hope to be an addition to them.”
The 24-year-old fought nine matches this season with Talaia Al-Jaysh, and he has not scored or scored goals during them so far.
Egypt will play two matches against Kenya and Comoros next March in the qualifiers for the 2021 African Nations Cup.
As for the Al-Ahly confrontation next Sunday in the 14th round of the league, the Tala’a Al-Jaish player commented, “This is a special confrontation for us, and Al-Ahly’s defeat by Simba will not affect him.”
“They are suffering from stress due to a lot of matches, and we are preparing in the best way to achieve a positive result,” he added.
