Milan Jovic defended his son Luca, the Real Madrid player and the Serbia national team, after media and official criticism of him in the past days.
Serbian Prime Minister Anna Bernabej criticized the player in previous statements for violating the embargo imposed on the country due to the outbreak of the Coruna virus.
To respond to the father justifying his departure from Spain in violation of the instructions of Real Madrid: “He underwent two examinations and his sample came negative both times, the whole thing is a misunderstanding, because he did not understand that he could not leave the country, he believed that he was able to leave as long as his appointment was negative.”
Milan Jovic added via the Serbian Pulsonline website: “Now he looks like a criminal, if he had to go to prison, then so, I totally agree with the President and the Prime Minister, so he would be imprisoned if he was guilty. I support this decision only if he makes a mistake.”
However, he added, “But he came to Belgrade and committed himself to his house. The photos that spread to his celebration were taken in Spain several months ago, until his girlfriend Sofia cannot leave the house, because she is pregnant.”
He stressed: “Lucca went back to Serbia to be with his family, did not come for the birthday of Sofia, he wanted to spend this time with his Serb citizens, so he was trying to help the state financially and in other ways. Lucca would help the Serbian people and I was aware of that before he came.” .
He continued: “The family supports Lucca, and he chooses whatever, they have to criticize him civilly. Some things were exaggerated, and Luka did not understand some things correctly.”
