An Italian report exploded a big surprise, as it said that Luciano Spalletti is close to succeeding Rene Fyler in coaching Al-Ahly.
وقال Italian website inews24: “After a year without work, Spalletti appears to be ready to return with a new experience and a surprising destination.”
And he added, “According to our information, Spalletti is close to Al-Ahly, after his coach Rene Fyler decided to leave.”
“The Egyptian team spoke with more than one coach, the two sides are close and there are no differences. It seems that Spalletti is ready for a trial outside Europe,” he added.
“This appears to be a new experience for Spalletti, who left Italy only to train Zenit in Russia before,” he stressed.
The report concluded that Spalletti was popular in Egypt for his former coach, Mohamed Salah, in Rome, and scored 19 goals under his leadership before moving to Liverpool.

FilGoal.com learned that Al-Ahly is now heading to appoint a foreign art director immediately after the departure of the Swiss, and has already begun to discuss a number of resumes.
Al-Ahmar is heading to choose a young coach who has the ambition to achieve himself on the African scene, as that trend existed when choosing Fyler, but the matter may change in the event that an experienced and veteran name appears.
Certainly, in the event that the direction of appointing a foreign coach is adopted during the days following the departure of Fyler, an Egyptian coach will be present in the new technical staff to serve as a link with the management and help in a quick acquaintance in light of time constraints before facing Wydad in the first leg of the CAF Champions League semi-finals.
Earlier, Amir Tawfiq, director of contracts at Al-Ahly, revealed that he had negotiated with Spalletti before the appointment of Fyler. (See details)
