FilGoal.com learned that Hegazy had received a tempting offer from the Jeddah Federation during the past days, and the Saudi club had already contacted West Brom and obtained his approval to start negotiations with the Egyptian international defender.
West Brom has agreed to the Saudi offer, which amounts to nearly 4 million euros, especially with only two seasons remaining in the contract for the 29-year-old defender.
Although Hijazi’s desire was to continue with West Brom, especially after the team’s return to the Premiership, the meeting that he held with Slavin Bilic, the coach, accelerated the decision to leave.
