Al-Ismaili qualified for the semi-finals of the Mohammed VI Champions Cup, by drawing 0-0 against fellow Al-Ittihad Alexandria at Al-Ismailiya Stadium, in the second leg of the quarter-final.

The Dervishes benefited from their victory back in Alexandria with the goal without response, to outperform the leader of the gap in the aggregate.

Ismaili has never won the title of the tournament, and he was satisfied with the title in the 2004 edition.

Ismaili became the second to qualify for the Golden Square after Saudi youth.

In the next round, Ismaili faces Moroccan Raja Casablanca, or Algerian Mouloudia, pending the outcome of the return match between them after the first leg ended with a 2-1 victory for the people of Casablanca.

Al-Ittihad entered the match strongly and was threatened since the fifth minute by Ahmed Refaat, whose pass passed by Al-Qaim.

Fierce Al-Ittihad attacks continued, and Khaled Qamar fired a missile that hit the Ismaili crossbar, depriving the guests of registration.

Before the assistant referee canceled a goal scored by Mahmoud Rizk for Al-Ittihad in the 31st minute due to offside.

Ismaili’s first offensive appearance waited until the 45th minute when Mohamed Al-Shami fired a shot from inside the penalty area. Imad Al-Sayed brilliantly shoved her away with a corner kick.

In the second half, Al-Shami squandered the most dangerous chances of the match when he hit a wonderful ball that bounced off the crossbar and made its way towards the outside of the field.

The Ismaili got more active, and Abdul Rahman Magdi hit off from a distance in the 58th minute, but Imad Al-Sayed continued to shine.

Meanwhile, Razzaq Cisse missed the chance of Al-Ittihad in the second half with the 65th minute after he reached the ball in the face of the Ismaili goal, but toppled it the top of the goal.
