Former England player Owen Hargreaves sees Roberto Firmino as an indispensable player in Liverpool’s attack.
“I don’t think Firmino can be taken out of the squad, he is a very important player, he is the most selfless player in the Premier League,” Hargreaves said via BTS Sport.
And the former Bayern Munich and Manchester United midfielder continued: “In recent matches, I have seen Salah, Jota and Mani, all of them want to shoot whenever they reach the ball, and this may create a kind of tension between them.”
He continued: “Firmino is not like them, he does not see that it is about him, and therefore you always need a player who is not selfish like him.”
He concluded: “I am looking forward to seeing who will choose Klopp against Wolverhampton, especially as he pushed in four from the start against Manchester City.”
Jota had scored a sparkling start with Liverpool since moving to him from Wolverhampton, scoring 9 goals in 12 games.
On the other hand, Brazilian Firmino is not going through his best scoring period, forcing coach Juergen Klopp to make some decisions about his attack line.
