Yoshiaki Hirabayashi, producer of the remake of the fourth and second part of Resident Evil, spoke in a press interview about the importance of the remake to him personally and to the series as a whole, noting how wonderful it is to bring old classic games to a new generation of players who did not experience them the first time they were released.
This happened with 3 parts of the series so far: Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3, and Resident Evil 4, which were released in 1998, 1999, and 2005, respectively.
Capcom re-introduced the games in 2019, 2020, and 2023, bringing them back to the forefront, and once again highlighting their importance in the history of gaming, and therefore Capcom believes that more remixes are important for the rest of the series.
Recently, there have been calls for Capcom to make a new remake of the game Resident Evil Code Veronica, but the company denied that it had even thought about working on the game, but it seems through the statement of the remix producer (Yoshiaki) that Capcom cares greatly about the opinions of the fans. So we don’t rule out hearing about the remake soon!
