Abdul Rahim Al-Bayrak, vice president of Galatasaray, said that Mustafa Mohamed, the team’s striker, had required scoring a certain number of goals before bringing his family to Turkey.

In 5 days, the Egyptian star quickly made his mark with the Lions team by scoring two goals against Istanbul Basaksehir and Fenerbahce in the Turkish League.

“After he scored last week, I asked him: Did you bring your wife and your family?”

“I told him to score 10 goals in a short time and bring your family,” Al-Barak added. “A funny conversation was between us.”

He continued, “I thank the president and the board of directors, they gave me their confidence and full authority. They gave me strength. We made very good contracts. They followed Mustafa Muhammad in the coming days.”

Hours after his arrival in Turkey, Mustafa, 23, scored from the penalty spot in a 3-0 victory over Istanbul Basaksehir, the league title holder.

Then, on Saturday, coach Fateh Tarim pushed him as a starting point to score the Egyptian national team’s first striker and Egypt’s Olympic team the goal of winning in Istanbul’s Derby

Mustafa moved to Galatasaray on loan from Zamalek until the summer of 2022, for two million dollars.

The Turkish club has the right to buy Mustafa for 4 million dollars.

Mustafa and his comrades are preparing to face their guest Alanya Sport in the Turkey Cup quarter-finals on Wednesday.
