Former Arsenal midfielder Gilberto Silva praised the capabilities of Egyptian Mohamed El-Nene, criticizing his lack of participation and loaning him to the Turkish Besiktas.
“In the past few years, it has been difficult for Arsenal,” Silva told France Football.
“They have very similar midfield players, who have neither Patrick Vieira nor my own,” he said.
“Mohammed Al-Nini was the only one able to resemble us but did not play, although Arsenal did not have these types of players to cover the defensive midfield,” added the defeated league player with Arsenal.
Then he completed the Brazilian star, “Arsenal always plays positively, trying to impose his offensive style, and it is not easy to find a player able to play offensively and provide a defensive role at the same time.”
El Nene joined Arsenal in 2016 under Arsene Wenger.
However, the Egyptian midfielder has left the accounts of the former coach, Unai Emery, to join this season loaned to the Turkish Besiktas.
