FilGoal | News | Cartier: The African Union prejudiced Al-Ahly in the Esperance final … We survived a disaster

Zamalek coach Patrice Carteron sees the Confederation of African Football (CAF) as bias against Al-Ahly during the CAF Champions League final against Esperance in 2018.

“I was a coach for Al-Ahly at the time, and the Confederation of Africa defeated us, stopped some players and issued a decision against me,” Carteron said via the Zamalek channel.

“I did not understand why we played this match despite the players’ bus being attacked by Esperance fans and wounding one of them.”

“All the circumstances surrounding this match were indicating a catastrophe, but we survived.”

“I will no longer prove my ability as a coach to beat Esperance and beat him with Moroccan Raja in the African Super, and then also with Zamalek twice.”
