Al-Austrian praised Warda, saying, “I am happy with the development that has reached him. I wanted to include him in the summer, but for some reasons the deal was not completed.”
He concluded, “Happy to return to a big club, but we all know him, Wardah is a rose, emotions remain far from football.”
Damir Warda had previously coached Atromitos in the 2017-18 and 2018-19 seasons, and Al-Masry scored 13 goals under his leadership and made 9 assists in 42 matches.
