Mohamed Jaber “Mido”, the Aswan player, apologized for his behavior towards Zamalek fans last season.
Aswan drew 0-0 with Zamalek, in the ninth round of the Egyptian League.
“Before anything, during the Zamalek match last season, (Tenshnah) occurred between the players on the field and I stood on the ball,” Mohamed Jaber said in statements to Ontime Sports channel after the match.
He added, “I would like to apologize to the fans of Zamalek for that shot. I made a mistake, and I must apologize because it was not a correct behavior and was not intended.”
Aswan player continues, “I want the Zamalek fans to forgive me for this shot because I admit that I missed it.”
He concluded, “Today’s tie will be a starting point for us on our journey to search for survival.”
Aswan had defeated Zamalek 1-0 in the second round of last season, and in that match, Mohamed Jaber did this.
The draw today raised Aswan’s balance to the eighth point in the 11th place, while Zamalek’s balance rose to the twentieth point in second place, with a goal difference from Al-Ahly, the leader.
