Al-Ahly announced today, Tuesday, its list of travelers to Morocco, in preparation for the match against Wydad on Saturday in the first-leg semi-final of the African Champions League.
Al-Ahly travels with all the players of its African list except for the injured, provided that the duo Ali Maaloul of Tunisia and Geraldo of Angola join the team’s mission as soon as the camp of their two countries’ national teams ends.
The Al-Ahly list is:
Goalkeepers: Mohamed El Shennawy, Ali Lotfi and Mostafa Schubert
Defense: Ali Maaloul, Mahmoud Waheed, Ayman Ashraf, Yasser Ibrahim, Muhammad Hani and Ahmed Fathy
Midfielders: Amr Al-Soulia, Aliou Diang, Hamdi Fathy, Mohamed Magdy “Afsha”, Junior Ajay, Saleh Jumaa, Hussein Al-Shahat, Ahmed Al-Sheikh, Walid Suleiman, Mahmoud Kahraba and Geraldo
The attack: Marwan Mohsen and Aliou Badji
Al-Ahly will fly to Morocco this afternoon, and the mission is headed by Mahmoud Al-Khatib, former club president and icon.
Al-Ahly will host the return match 6 days later.
And if Al-Ahly, the record holder in the tournament with eight coronations, qualifies for the final, facing Zamalek or Raja.
