FilGoal | News | Al-Shahat: I missed my easy opportunity against Wydad because I thought about two decisions

Hussein Al-Shahat scores and celebrates Al-Ahly’s second goal in Wydad

Hussein Al-Shahat, Al-Ahly’s player, compared the opportunity he wasted in the first leg of the African Champions League semi-finals against Wydad, and his goal in the second leg.

Al-Shahat missed an easy goal from an explicit one-on-one in the Mohamed V boat, before scoring a goal carrying a lot of techniques in the return leg at Cairo Stadium, and contributing to Al-Ahly’s qualification to the final.

“The opportunity to go was missed because of me because I had two thoughts,” Al Shahat said on On Time Sports 2.

He added, “When a ball player thinks about two decisions while he is heading towards the goal, the ball will definitely be lost.”

He continued, “I thought about dodging the goalkeeper, or shooting it over him, and in the end I took a completely third action.”

He continued: “Despite this opportunity being wasted, the coach was satisfied with what I presented and told me that I am a great player and I can compensate.”

Al-Shahat turned to talk about his wonderful goal in the second leg, in which he manipulated Wydad’s defense.

Al-Shahat said, “I scored a goal similar to mine in Al-Wydad when I was in Sharkia for Dukhan 8 years ago.”

He concluded: “The attack was similar to the loneliness that I wasted on going, while I was going towards the goal, the ball (I didn’t want to run and work to stand). I thought about passing to Afsha, but I found the defender coming and rushing, so I decided to dodge him.”
