FilGoal | News | After counting 4 penalty kicks and canceling the fifth … a draw decides the confrontation of Al-Hodoud and Al-Ismaili

Ismaili players celebrate the first goal in Al-Ittihad of Alexandria

The tie was decided by a confrontation between Haras Al-Hodoud and Al-Ismaili, which was held at Al-Max Stadium in the 21st round of the Egyptian League competition.

The match ended in a positive tie with two goals for each team in a match that saw four penalty kicks being awarded under the leadership of referee Ibrahim Noureddine, and the cancellation of the fifth after resorting to video technology.

The tie did not help both teams, as Ismaili’s score rose to 24 points in ninth place from 20 matches, and Haras al-Hodud’s balance rose to 23 points from the same number of Dervish matches.

Al-Dervish tied for the third consecutive time in the Egyptian League competition.

The match started quickly and Ahmed Madbouly almost opened the scoring in the 19th minute, but Haras El Hedoud goalkeeper Ahmed Al Saadani starred and turned to a corner kick.

The border guards got a penalty kick in the 27th minute after Grindo took advantage of a naive mistake from the Ismaili defense, and Mustafa Jamal scored it to the right of Muhammad Majdi, the Darwish guard, in the 29th minute.

In seconds before the end of the first half, Emad Hamdi scored the equalizing goal with a ground shot that crossed the border goalkeeper and went into the net.

In the second half, Grindo got a new penalty kick for the border guards in the 55th minute, but Mustafa Jamal wasted it outside the goal.

In the 61st minute, the Ismaily players demanded a penalty kick after a strong intervention with Mohamed Hamdi Zaki, and Ibrahim Noureddine resorted to the VAR technique and confirmed its validity before it was counted.

Omar Al-Wahsh managed to score the Darwish lead goal from the penalty spot in the 64th minute, and with three minutes, Noureddine awarded a third penalty kick to the Border Guards before he resorted to the VAR technique and was canceled.

The excitement of penalty kicks in the match did not end at this point, as the huddlers demanded a new penalty kick in the 75th minute, and Ibrahim Noureddine calculated it after resorting to VAR technology, and Grindo scored the equalizer in the 77th minute.

Ismaily play his next match against Tanta next Thursday in an attempt to achieve the first victory after an absence in five consecutive matches.

As for the border guards, Al Ittihad will face Alexandria next Thursday in the 22nd round of the league.
