Hosni Abed Rabbo, the former Egyptian national football star, believes that the presence of Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah with the golden generation of the Pharaohs would not have made the team qualify for the 2010 World Cup.
Abed Rabbo responded to his question, did Salah’s presence with the golden generation of the national team qualify him for the World Cup by saying “No, of course.”
“The Egyptian team in its golden generation has not lacked anyone, the team was very strong,” he added in comments to Time Sports.
Jill Hassan Shehata, who won the historic triple of the African Nations, 2006, 2008 and 2010 failed to qualify for the World Cup held in South Africa in the last breaths, after losing from Algeria in a playoff, while Salah succeeded in leading the Pharaohs to qualify for the 2018 World Cup after an absence of 28 years .
It is noteworthy that Salah, who missed the first game in the World Cup, scored two goals, but Egypt, led by Hector Cuper, lost his three matches and bid farewell to the competition from the first round.
On his opinion of the best in the center of fortune currently in Egypt, the retired star said, “Amr Al-Sulaya and Tareq Hamed are the best in Egypt today.”
“Tariq Hamid performs defensive duties surprisingly, but Al-Sulayyah performs offensive duties and scores, and therefore I see Al-Sulayya is a little better now,” said the former Ismaili player.
On the possibility of one of them being in the golden generation of Egypt, Abd Rabbo chose Tariq Hamed.
