The Football Association revealed the possibility of postponing the start of the new season of the league after the Confederation of African Football (CAF) assigned the “CAF” Super Cup to Egypt.
A source from the Football Association – who requested anonymity – told FilGoal.com: “The start of the league has been set on the ninth or tenth of December, but the African Super Cup may cause it to be postponed.”
He explained, “The CAF has asked us to hold the Super Cup in the first half of December, and this means that we may postpone the start of the league to allow the match to take place.”
The draw will be held next Monday, according to what the Football Association has officially announced.
Today, Friday, the African Union officially announced Egypt’s hosting of the African Super Cup after its last two years in Qatar.
