Mahmoud Al-Khatib, head of Al-Ahly Club, received a letter from his counterpart in Mamelodi, Sun Downs, Patrice Motsepe, during which he emphasized his great appreciation and expressed his desire for more cooperation between the two clubs in the future.

Sun Downs President said in his speech that Al-Ahly deserves to be crowned with the current version of the African Champions League.

Al-Ahly overcame the Sun Downs hurdle in the quarter-finals after beating them with three goals to one goal in the aggregate.

It is noteworthy that Al-Khatib sent a letter to Sun Doans President earlier thanking him for the good reception of Al-Ahly in South Africa. (See details)
