Jakarta, CNN Indonesia –
Apple rumored to be launching iPhone 13 with storage options up to 1TB.
If these rumors are true, the iPhone 13 will be the first iPhone product to have that much storage, because in the previous series the storage of this phone was only up to 512 GB.
So what can this 1 TB capacity be used for? It turns out that the number of files that can be stored with such a large storage can reach a fantastic number.
For example, a 320kbps MP3 generates a file size of 2.4MB for every minute. If the average song is three minutes it will be about 7.2MB per song. With a 1 TB iPhone, you can store 138,889 songs or 416,667 minutes.
Then, the storage capacity of that size can store about 143 hours of 4K footage or 57 films with a duration of two and a half hours. 4K UHD video uses around 7GB per hour of playtime, as reported The Next Web.
Then, the iPhone 13 can load 29,070 applications. The average size of an iOS app is 34.3 MB.
Launch Gizmodo, rumors that the latest iPhone series will have 1 TB of storage are not new. In October 2020, Apple leaker Jon Prosser said something similar.
Rumors that the iPhone 13 will have up to 1 TB of storage was conveyed by investment company Wedbush. They said the iPhone 13 will feature a 1 TB storage option after examining the supply chain of iPhones that will launch this year.
Even in a video from January 2021, Prosser said most of the high-end iPhone 13 prototypes do have 1 TB of storage.
“I’m going to tell you that most of those prototypes, I’m told, have terabytes of storage. That means prototypes for pro models,” Prosser said.
Apple isn’t the first company to make phones with up to 1TB of storage. Samsung and Asus are known to have offered phones with 1TB of storage capacity in 2019.
