The predicament is very similar across the Mediterranean from Barcelona to Tel Aviv and from the French Riviera to the northern coast of Africa.

In some places, the h2o temperature even exceeded 30 degrees Celsius.

Thanks to the adjustments, some 50 species of maritime animals and crops, like corals, sponges and algae, die en masse around large spots, and major losses have also been induced to aquaculture farmers and fishermen.

This information was obtained from a crew of 30 researchers representing 11 countries in the area. The Mediterranean spot is only a single % of the world’s ocean space, but is house to up to 18 per cent of marine species. Thus, irreversible detrimental changes would be a reduction to our whole world.
