Two hundred and three (203) new cases of coronavirus (Covid-19) infection and 218 healings have been registered in Morocco for the past 24 hours, the health ministry announced on Sunday.
This new assessment brings to 15,745 the number of contaminations since the first case reported in March, and to 12,283 that of people fully recovered, representing a cure rate of around 78%, said Hind Ezzine, head of the epidemic diseases department at the Directorate of Epidemiology under the Ministry of Health.
The number of deaths rose to 250 after the announcement of five new cases, representing a fatality rate of 1.6%, she added, adding that 92% of the 203 new cases were detected within the framework of the contact tracking system.
