Behind the scenes of the last night of the performance of the play “Sayed Darwish” yesterday evening, Saturday, there was a bad ending after a verbal altercation broke out between the two heroes of the work, Mido Adel and Liqa Suwaidan, less than a minute after the curtain came down, and the audience applauded.
The night ended with Suwaidan’s encounter with a slap in the face of the artist Mido Adel, after she accused him of insulting her on stage while greeting the audience. As soon as the curtain came down, she verbally assaulted him, so he mocked her, so she took the initiative to slap him in the face in full view of all members of the theatrical troupe.
Mido Adel became angry and the play’s workers gathered around him to separate them, amidst the screams of the work’s hero, who rushed towards her while underestimating her artistic value and attacking her ferociously, at a time when Suwaidan’s meeting called the police for help.
With the commotion that prevailed on the stage, Mido Adel discovered that there were a number of the play’s audience members inside the scenes of the Balloon Theater who wanted to take souvenir photos with the heroes of the show, so Mido Adel asked the security men to take the guests out of the theater.
The verbal battle between them did not end until the stage manager, Mohamed Omar, ordered the lights to be turned off, to the sound of Sweidan’s screams, saying to Mido Adel, “Every work you participate in comes out with a scandal.”
The show’s director, Ashraf Azab, tried to intervene to break them up, but he failed, so he left the stage.
It is worth noting that the signs of disagreement between them began before the theatrical show traveled to Alexandria, to perform some performances there, where they exchanged accusations and insults, due to Mido’s constant mockery of Swaidan’s meeting during the show, and there was a major argument between them in Alexandria during rehearsals.
