“The last thing the people of Afghanistan need now is the continuation of the armed conflict. We are very concerned about the impact of the ongoing fighting on the humanitarian situation, no matter where in Afghanistan they take place,” he said, commenting on reports of clashes between militants of the radical Taliban movement with groups in the Panjshir gorge.
Dujarrik noted that at the virtual summit of the G7, Guterres will call on the world community for unity for the sake of peace in Afghanistan and keeping the interests of the Afghan people in the center of attention.
