In moments of calm, warriors improve their daily lives – they chop wood, clean weapons and remember their dearest ones.
Ukrainian infantrymen in cold trenches and under constant shelling are the first to meet the enemy. Often, there are some tens of meters to the positions of the enemy in them, and every second these guys have to peer closely into the loopholes to see if the invaders have climbed again, the TSN says.
At one of the positions of the front, the positions of the Russians are 140 meters away and you even have to speak more quietly, because at such a distance everything is audible. But the silence here is almost unreal, constantly being torn apart by the sounds of battle. This section is held by the soldiers of the 28th brigade named after the knights of the winter campaign. Around the clock they watch the enemy from their loopholes. “We shoot, they follow us, we follow them. Mortar, AGS, dropped from a drone. 82 and 60, and grenade launchers, and small arms, too, every day, ”the fighters say.
Here the occupiers are afraid to launch frontal assaults. Maximum – probed by sabotage groups. “They are not attacking us yet, they are breaking through our dead zones, that is, small groups are shooting back in order to understand if return shooting is a military practice,” says a serviceman with the call sign “Moskva”.
Warriors are trying to make sure that they do not have dead zones at all. To do this, even in severe frost, every day they pick up the second main weapon of an infantryman. “We are digging, as you can see, the infantry, the deeper they dig in, the more likely it is that everything will be fine,” the fighters say.
Chances are digging using terrain features and to have complete fire control over no man’s land. “Mind wins strength, we fight like that, we adapt, they adapt, the enemy cannot be underestimated, they have been fighting all their lives and know how to fight,” the fighters say.
Every activity at the front is a game of racing – who will outwit whom, who will outwit whom. “In various ways, how to mislead the enemy, how to deceive him, make it so that when he even attacks, so that he advances in the direction that is beneficial to us, drive him into some kind of beam, where to inflict his destruction completely by fire defeat” , — explains the Nesquik fighter.
No wonder the guys are called “knights of the winter campaign” – they know how to adapt to the harsh frosts. Their dugouts are Spartan, but warm and cozy. “The comfort zone was left at home, we are not girls here, we don’t complain, so everything is fine,” the military assures.
In moments of calm, warriors improve their daily lives – they chop wood, clean weapons and remember their dearest ones. In war, ordinary, ordinary things are felt much sharper. “It’s dawning, it’s such a wonderful, plentiful snow, and it seems to be both beautiful and scary. The color is the same as the war, well, here is a moment of silence, and I looked near me – beauty, ”says a serviceman with the call sign“ Taxi Driver ”.
The knights of the spirit, the knights of fortitude, the knights of the winter campaign continue to hold the eastern borders.
