Major Vadym Voroshylov, known by his nickname “Karaya”, captured the dramatic shot from under his parachute after emerging from the rammed fighter plane drone on the territory of southwestern Ukraine.
Citing reports Forbes Saturday (10/12/2022), the crash occurred on Oct. 12 but was only revealed after video of the crash wasdetachment Tuesday, Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

For his efforts, Voroshylov was awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine with the Order of the Golden Star by President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Was injured when debris from one drone which shattered through the cockpit of his plane and struck his cheek and neck.
Blood streaked down his face and filled Voroshylov’s eyes as he pulled the ejection handle and the parachute deployed.

On the way down, he decided to capture the moment with selfie surprisingly
“I will say briefly, no one and nothing can destroy us!” wrote the fighter pilot on his Instagram page, where hedetachment image selfie bleeding.
Voroshylov recovered from his injuries and was back on the air.
