The president’s outburst was delivered in a speech Wednesday Washington time. He, in his speech, outlined the government’s plans to combat gun violence in America.

“If you want or if you think you need to have weapons against the government, you need F-15s and maybe some nuclear weapons,” Biden was quoted as saying. Business Insider, Friday (25/6/2021).
Biden also said there was always a limit to what types of weapons Americans could legally own.
“The Second Amendment, from the day it was passed, limits the types of people who can own guns and what types of weapons you can own. You can’t buy cannons,” he said.
“The bottom line is there’s always the ability to limit—rationally limit—the types of weapons that can be owned and who can own them,” Biden said.

Biden also said his government would adopt a “zero tolerance” approach to arms dealers who violate existing laws. The president has long pushed for gun control laws, including a ban on assault weapons.
