Fight in front of a high school in the Bronx ends with several run over and a stab wound – Telemundo New York (47)

NEW YORK – Authorities are investigating an alleged fight that injured several in front of a school in the Bronx.

According to the New York City Police report, the incident occurred on Tuesday, around 2:30 pm, in front of a high school located in 850 Baychester Avenue.

When the uniformed officers arrived at the scene, they saw a 17-year-old boy with a cut on his torso and about 8 other people injured. All the injured, including the 17-year-old, were transported to hospitals in the area in stable condition.

A preliminary investigation revealed that a group of men were inside a BMW vehicle and began arguing with another group who were in front of Harry S. Truman High School.

Apparently, the police say, one of the individuals from the group who was in front of the institution had stabbed the 17-year-old boy who was inside the vehicle. The injured young man would have tried to seek refuge inside the school.

Then the driver of the car reportedly tried to run over the group in front of the school and in the process collided with another vehicle traveling on Baychester Avenue. The driver of the other vehicle was one of the people who were injured, while the driver of the BMW fled the scene, according to authorities.

So far there are no arrests and the investigation continues.
