Early on Tuesday morning, the police arrested ten people for assaulting two bus drivers in Eindhoven. The incident happened on Wednesday, December 29, when a group of ten young people from Son en Breugel was picked up in Antwerp by two Flixbus drivers.
Almost arriving at the final destination, the boys were approached by one of the drivers because they were not wearing a mouth mask. This conversation then got so out of hand that a fight broke out between the boys and the bus driver.
In Eindhoven, at the final stop on the John F Kennedylaan when everyone had got off, emotions ran high again, with the two drivers being mistreated by the group of young people. One of the bus drivers suffered a head injury in the fight. A window of the bus was also broken.

Both drivers have reported assault. The abuse had such a major impact that they indicated that they would not be able to work for the time being.
Of the ten juveniles arrested, two are minors.
