Since September, under the direction of Peter Nowfèl, the FigeacVoix polyphonic ensemble and the Camérata chamber orchestra have been hard at work opening their concert season. And their first public performance will take place in the church of Lacapelle-Marival, Sunday November 26 at 3 p.m.
New repertoire, strengthened vocal ensemble, communion with the public promises to be joyful and warm. And what better composer than Mozart to offer moments of harmony and humanism? This is why Peter Nowfèl decided to program large extracts from the Missa Brevis (K192), but also a contemporary Dona Nobis Pacem. Furthermore, the musical director will seek out medieval voices through the composer Madalena Casulana. A spiritual song from the Far North, a hymn to the Virgin by Britten, a work dedicated to the Camino de Santiago, will among other things complete a quality poster.
Other concerts will follow: Ambeyrac Saturday December 16 at 7 p.m., then Sabadel-Latronquière in January, Figeac (Salle Balène) in May, etc. Please note that FigeacVoix, now a complete ensemble, remains open to experienced candidates, particularly for tenor voices. Notice to amateurs. Free entry, participation desired and appreciated.
