Group ‘FIFTY FIFTY’ (Fifty Fifty)’s agency, Attract, released a transcript claiming that it contained an attempt to extort singers by outside forces. A battle of revelations is taking place over Fifty Fifty, who entered the US Billboard Hot Chart 100 with the song ‘Cupid’.
On the 3rd, Attract released the transcript, saying, “It is evidence that the representative of Dugiverse A, a music production service company of Fifty Fifty, attempted to extort members.”
The data contained a conversation between Attract CEO Jeon Hong-joon and Warner Music Korea executive Mr. B. In a phone call with CEO B, Mr. B said, “I had a buyout to CEO A before, and we made an offer of 20 billion won.”
When CEO Jeon said he didn’t know about the content and asked, “What is a buyout?”, Mr. B replied, “We took over all the children (four 55 members)…”.

This is a method in which the player and the other team can negotiate a transfer without the consent of the team if the other team presents the transfer fee agreed upon in advance even if the player has a remaining contract period.
Regarding the transcript, Attract insisted, “CEO A was proceeding with the buyout of Fifty Fifty on his own without the approval of the agency’s CEO, Jeon Hong-joon.”
Previously, Attract said there was an attempt to extort 55 Fifty by external forces, and pointed out CEO Dugiverse A and Warner Music Korea as behind it. On the 27th of last month, CEO Jeon Hong-joon filed a complaint with the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul on charges of obstruction of business, damage to electronic records, and fraud.
In this regard, Warner Music Korea released an explanation saying, “It is not true.” Dugiverse also said, “We will take legal action against the false accusation of CEO Hong-joon Jeon and Attract and the spread of false information through the media.”
Meanwhile, on the 28th of last month, the 4 members of Fifty Fifty announced through their legal representative that they were in a dispute with their agency, saying, “We filed an application for a provisional injunction against Attract to suspend the exclusive contract with the Seoul Central District Court.”
