About fifty blood bags were represented and 230 women screened for breast and cervical cancer in N’douci, during the launch of “Women’s Week”, as a prelude to International Human Rights Day. the woman (JIF) 2023.
The sub-prefect of N’douci, Sandrine Bessikoi Danho-Oka, insisted on Wednesday March 1, 2023 on the need to “give blood in order to save lives”, before greeting the Minister of Health, Public Hygiene and Universal Health Coverage, Pierre Dimba, who enabled and facilitated the operation.
“Women must be in good health to give life and participate in development,” said Ms. Oka, justifying the holding of the screening session for the types of cancer in women.
The Departmental Director of Health, Dr. Gbalé Yavo Joël, educates women about cervical cancer and breast cancer, emphasizing means of prevention and treatment.
This sensitization and screening campaign continues in the secondary schools of N’douci where young girls will benefit from advice and sessions of breast palpitations.
