Norwegian emergency services found fifth fatality in the landslide in Ask village on Sunday morning, police confirm to Norwegian public broadcaster NRK. Five more are missing.
The body was found by the emergency services around 06:00 on Sunday morning.
Last Wednesday, a landslide swept away several houses in the South Norwegian village. At least ten people were injured. About a thousand residents of the town, 40 kilometers northeast of Oslo, had to be brought to safety.
Ten people were missing after the landslide, including two children. Five bodies have now been recovered. The emergency services have not released any information about the identity of the victims.
The chief of local police said earlier that there is still hope that the missing will be found alive.
