Coast Guard District Northeastern Luzon and fisher volunteers rescued 15 passengers and crew members of a boat named Jhon Lea off the shores of San Vicente village in Sta. Ana, Cagayan, Philippines on 8 April. Overloading was identified as the incident’s cause; the boat was bound to Palaui and was seen sunk 300 metres from the shore. The rescued passengers were brought to San Vicente Port for medical check-ups.
