FIFA unveiled the logo of the 2026 World Cup, scheduled for Canada, America and Mexico, during a ceremony today, Thursday, attended by FIFA President Gianni Infantino and a number of football stars.
The new design blended in a simplified manner, between the image of the World Cup and the year of organizing the tournament 2026.
Also during the ceremony, the (We are 26) campaign was launched, which will provide individuals, places and communities with the opportunity to play an important role in promoting the official brand of the 2026 World Cup.
Infantino said during the ceremony: “It is a resounding cry that expresses the moment when the voices of three countries and an entire continent are raised to say with one voice: We are united as one family to welcome the world and organize the largest, best and most comprehensive edition in the history of the World Cup.”
He added, “The tournament will allow each host country and each participating team to write its own page in the World Cup history books, and this unique brand is only one of the main stations on the way to the 2026 edition.”
It is expected that the organizing committee of the World Cup will reveal the official trademark of each of the 16 cities hosting the tournament on May 18, which will enhance the diversity character of the first version that includes 48 teams for the first time in the history of the tournament.
The next edition of the World Cup will be held in June and July 2026, and the champions will be crowned on July 19, 2026.
