Under the directives of the political leadership, the Football Association announced that it will host the match between the brotherly Palestinian national team and its Australian counterpart, at Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium on November 21, within the second round of the Asian qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup and the 2027 Asian Cup. The day before yesterday, the Federation received the approval of the Asian Confederation. agreed to host the match out of support and solidarity with the Palestinian national team, which is prevented by the current circumstances from playing on its home soil and among its fans.
The Federation extended its sincere thanks and gratitude to the political leadership, the Council of Ministers, and the General Sports Authority for bearing all hosting costs and facilitating the procedures for holding the match.
