FIFA has decided that the match between Brazil and Argentina that was pending for the South American qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup will be played on September 22 in Brazilian territory.

The game, originally started on September 5 of last year, was stopped at five minutes when Anvisa agents entered the Neo Química Arena lawn, Corinthians stadiumin Itaquera, to detain Argentine players who had violated Brazilian health rules.

FIFA informed the CBF and AFA of the decision this Friday and also indicated that the Brazilian entity has until June 22 to inform which stadium will host the match.

It will be the second game between Brazil and Argentina this year. In addition to the pending match for the Qualifiers, the two teams will play a friendly on June 11, in Australia.
