This ranking is one of the highest positions achieved by Arab teams in the FIFA ranking. The victory over Argentina also helped the Saudi team advance from 51st to 49th, while the three defeats saw the Qatari team drop 10 positions simultaneously, finishing 60th.
As for Tunisia, also present at the World Cup, it remained in its thirtieth place, and Portugal also kept its ninth place.
