Christian Eriksen and the rest of the Danish national team will not be able to wear the “Human Rights for All” message on their training shirts at the World Cup in Qatar. The World Football Association (FIFA) has rejected a corresponding request from Northern Europeans, the Danish Football Association (DBU) told the Ritzau news agency.
Denmark is one of the countries that has been particularly critical of Qatar’s World Cup award and the human rights situation there. The use of political messages is prohibited in the FIFA Legal Manual.
