Jakarta, CNN Indonesia —
Malaysia lost badly 0-4 to New Zealand in a FIFA Matchday test match at North Harbor Stadium, Monday (14/10).
Harimau Malaya played well in the first half. Pau Marti’s team was able to keep their goal safe from conceding in the first 45 rounds.
New Zealand produced several chances to break the deadlock. However, Syihan Hazmi’s quick performance between the sticks made the scoreline goalless in the first half.

In the second half, Malaysia could no longer resist New Zealand’s attacks. The hosts were able to open a 1-0 lead thanks to a goal scored by Elijah Just in the 54th minute.
Seven minutes later the visitors’ goal was broken again by New Zealand. This time it was the chance of the player Matthew Garbett to put his name on the scoreboard and change the score to 2-0.
Nottingham Forest striker Chris Wood, who only came on in the second half, did not want to concede a goal. Wood scored the goal that made the score 3-0 in the 72nd minute.
Wood scored with a header using a pass from the right that the Malaysian goalkeeper was unable to anticipate.
Malaysia sank further into injury time in the second half. New Zealand scored one more goal to make the score 4-0.
Another substitute Logan Rogerson scored the last goal for New Zealand in this game.
