“FIFA humiliates Cristiano Ronaldo”

After seeing his contract terminated at Manchester United, Cristiano Ronaldo eventually joined Al-Nassr. Between the two, the Portuguese played a half-hearted World Cup.

On the FIFA side, we have in any case decided not to include him in the list of candidates for The Best trophy, created in 2016. A trophy won twice by Ronaldo in the first two editions. He also finished in second place twice.

And for the Italian daily Sports Courier, not having included Ronaldo in the final list is a real humiliation. Conversely, Messi, Mbappé and Neymar are unsurprisingly among the candidates.

As a reminder, Robert Lewandowski has won the last two editions. With Argentina winning the World Cup in Qatar, it’s highly likely that an Albiceleste player will win the prestigious trophy.
