Fifa threatened to ask the referee to give a yellow card before kick-off to players who use the rainbow captain’s armband or One Love in World Cup 2022.

However, FIFA has not provided an explanation of its position on the matter. What is clear a day before the opening FIFA has chosen to launch its own captain’s armband.
But FIFA’s stance is unacceptable to the nine countries that want to wear the LGBT symbol at the World Cup even if it could risk the captain receiving a yellow card before kick-off.
“Nine countries are willing to accept fines for such acts, but it is now believed that any captain can receive a yellow card at kick-off in any match,” ESPN wrote.
Asked about his views on Kane receiving a yellow card in the circumstances, England manager Gareth Southgate said his side had made their position clear.
“There is nothing I can add to what Harry said [Kane]. I know there have been some discussions going on” Southgate said.
“I think several European countries have spoken out and we have clarified our position. So let’s hope everything is sorted out before the match,” added Southgate.
