Doha: Germany’s FC Bayern Munich and Mexico’s Tigers are set to make history in the FIFA Club World Cup final today. The final between Bayern Munich and Tigers UANL will take place tonight at 9pm at the Education City Stadium. The third-place match between Egypt’s Al Ahly and Brazil’s Palmyra will take place at 6 p.m.
FC Bayern Munich reached the semi-finals by defeating Al Ahly by two goals to none. The Tigers defeated Palmyra by a goalless draw. Kovid has been shifted to February due to club matches scheduled for last December. The match was announced with 7 clubs, but due to the withdrawal of New Zealand’s Auckland City FC, only 6 clubs are in the competition this time.
On the first day, Al Duhail lost to hosts Al Duhail of Qatar and Al Ahly of Egypt, but remained unbeaten, beating Ulsan Hyundai of Korea by three goals to one to finish fifth.
