The regulations approved unanimously also contemplate that after the deadline for the presentation of the squad lists, given that the contracts of some players will expire in the middle of the competition, Participating clubs may replace players during a period restricted within it, from June 27 to July 3, 2025.

However, FIFA noted that “the objective is to encourage clubs and players whose contracts are expiring to find an appropriate solution to facilitate player participation.”
